Noticias: Hacen un sondeo en internet para decidir si abortan
Una pareja estadounidense de Minnesota abrió una votación en internet antes de decidir si ella con 16 semanas de embarazó, se sometía a un aborto.
Pete y Alisha Arnold, ambos de 30 años, lanzaron una encuesta en un sitio web con la ecografía del feto bajo la nominación "Wiggles".
La pareja aseguró que su iniciativa no es una broma. "Nos tomamos esto muy en serio", dijo Pete, y agregó que si bien la encuesta influirá en su determinación no se sienten obligados a tomar una decisión con base en los resultados del sondeo. "Es como en el Congreso: ellos pueden votar, pero el presidente tiene el derecho de veto", explicó.
El sondeo mostraba un resultado dividido. Pero el jueves por la tarde, la tendencia era claramente contraria al aborto: 81% estaba en contra y 19% a favor.
Los comentarios mordaces acompañaron los votos. "¡Qué patética y repugnante maniobra para ganar sus 15 minutos de fama!", escribió uno de los internautas que dejó su comentario, mientras otro indignado preguntaba: "¿No sabes cuántas personas en este mundo quieren bebés y no pueden? Muestren un poco de compasión".
En el sitio, Alisha describe sus sensaciones sobre el embarazo. "Temo que la presión constante para ser la esposa perfecta y madre perfecta, y mantener el trabajo a tiempo completo, terminará por explotar en mi cerebro y me dará una crisis nerviosa", escribió.
Los Arnold, casados desde hace 10 años, permitirán a los internautas votar hasta el 7 de diciembre en el sitio wwww.birthornot.com, dos días antes de la fecha límite para que pueda someterse a un aborto legal en Minnesota.
